Budget Hotels near LCCT and KLIA Airports

I have only been to KL twice but not to stay for vacation, only to catch another flight.  For both visits, we chose hotels near the airports at Sepang – the Tune Hotel and Langit Langi, and both I recommend, depending on your travel needs.

Tune Hotel – LCCT

• Check in/Check out: strictly 2pm/strictly 11am
• Room Facilities: Clean rooms, good bed and bathroom with fan. BUT you have to pay for the aircon, toiletries and wifi. No TV.
• Meals: you may order breakfast from the hotel or opt to buy your food from a nearby 7-11 or go to LCCT restaurants
• Distance to LCCT: It is within the airport premises, around 5-10 minute walk; shuttle not regular
• Distance to KLIA: around 30 minutes by taxi
• Staff: friendly
• Can accommodate short-time stay from 10am-1pm and 1-4pm, subject to availability of rooms. But there’s no advanced booking for this. The rate is half the price of their daily rate so it’s not really cheap. 
• I recommend for short stay only. Not cheap but good for taking a short rest, a shower and doing whatever you want to do quickly before the aircon turns off!

Langit Langi

• Room Facilities: Clean rooms, good bed and bathroom, with aircon, TV, free toiletries and wifi. With complimentary water and coffee
• Meals: Food not offered inside the hotel but there are lots of restaurant serving local foods nearby.  KFC is just across the street. 
• Distance and Transportation to LCCT and KLIA: around 20 minutes by taxi. You may arrange for pick up and drop off service which is cheaper than the usual rate (around 30-35RM). But this is advisable for hotel-airport travel. If you want them to pick you up from the airport, you still have to call them and wait; so better to just get a BUDGET taxi (around 40RM) from the official taxi stand (before you exit the terminal)
• Staff: friendly
• I recommend since it’s cheap and you definitely get value for your money
• Website: The hotel’s primary website is their facebook account but they don’t reply to foreigners that much, so just check out their site at Agoda. If you reserve at Agoda, and if you have special instructions e.g. late arrival, make sure you fill up the space, otherwise they would give your room away
